CCCC #10 Doodlecharms

For this week's challenge we needed to use the Doodlecharms Cartridge. I just love all of the choices on this cart, a little something of everything~
I cut the bear at 3" used Peachy Keen Critter Faces (med)and a Cuttlebug folder, the sentiment is from My Pink Stampers Punny Licious set, some nestabilities, twine, ribbon from Joannes, Martha Stewart punch, stickles and scraps of paper.
Another card for a sweet girl in my Wednesday nite group. Her favorite color happens to be pink, so I tried to used lots of it.

Let's Face it Friday Challenge #12

Here is a sweet little card using Create a Critter and Walk in My Garden Carts, Peachy Keen Critter Faces (med), Pink Stamper Punny Licious Stamps, some flower brads and stickles. I also used a couple of different Cuttlebug folders and a Martha Stewart border punch. The paper was just some scraps I had handy. The challenge had to have Peachy Keen stamps (which I love) and homemade flowers.
One of the girls in my Wednesday nite group loves the color purple, so I made this with her in mind.

Your Story Photo Project

Just a couple of quick Your Story Photo projects. I purchased this from HSN at the beginning of the year with the intent of making quick little gifts to give away.
It is really easy to use and the results have many possibilities.
I made these for a friend's grand daughter's who we were meeting for lunch. I decided this would be a good little "book" to write in or add stickers to and keep them occupied while we waited for our food.
I used the Cuttlebug for the cover, some Nestabilities and chipboard letters. The ribbon was from Joanne's $1 bin, Prima Flowers, a couple of strawberry brads and some cardstock I had in the stock pile. These took less than an hour to put together.
I am thinking of a coulple for Seth and Cory (3 year olds) and turning them into ABC books.

K Andrew's Simply Sunday Challenge

Here is another page from the little album I am creating. This is my first go at mini album and I am having alot of fun with it. Not too much to finish a page! I have been watching the Mini Album Tutorial over at Creations with Christina, she is amazing and so helpful.
The theme is "Sugar & Spice" over at Getting Cricky.
The paper is from Nana's Baby Girl stack DCWV, carriage from the Sugar and Spice Lite Cartridge, tag from Kay & Company, some fibers, a little distress ink and the Cuttlebug.

Springy Thank "Ewe" Card

Playing along with the Pinkalicious Blog Hop over at My Pink Stamper. She invited viewers to post a project too, and I am just now able to do that. So fun visiting all of the blogs in the hop. Better late than never.
The image I originally had in mind for this little thank you card didn't quite match the outcome, (you know how it is)
I used paper from Garden Party stack DCWV, solid paper from Recollections, Easter seasonal cartridge, distress inks, nestabilities, pop dots, twine, xyron, Martha Stewart punch, Cuttle Bug w/Swiss Dots folder, sentiment from My Pink Stamper's Punny-licious stamp set.

Wacky Wednesday #29 Color Challenge

This color challenge included using purple, green and yellow. What perfect spring colors. I am working on a little "brag book" for a baby gift so this was a perfect way to get a page completed! I used my Your Story Photo to bind the book.
The bird was cut from Create a Critter Cart, the frame from Cindy Loo Cart; paper from Nana's Baby Girl stack DCWV, stickles and a little half pearl.

Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge!

Another challenge, which means another project for me to create!

I made this card for a girlfriend's daughter who is away at bootcamp in the Air Force. We are so proud of her!

St. Patrick's Day Treats!

Happy Sunday! Sundays here mean family dinner. We had traditional corned beef and cabbage of course with some roasted red potatoes with butter and parsley.
Earlier Seth and I made some cupcakes with some special St. Patty's Day flavor.
They were pretty yummy. Sent some home with my niece and her boyfriend and shared a few with our favorite neighbors too. The little tag was made with some leftover items from our last St. Patrick's Day project.

What's for Dinner? Pasta Carbonara!

My girlfriend gave me this recipe and I have been waiting to try it. Was on my way home from work this evening and thought I would just pick something up, but decided a home cooked meal would be much better. I happened to have all of the ingredients for this quick pasta dish. It really was simple to prepare and my family loved it (well not our 3 year old, but he doesn't like much of anything these days)I added a salad and some bread and there you have it!
I plan to add this to my on going recipe book I am creating. (my husband got me a recipe scrapbook kit for Christmas)
Have a great Saturday!

Let's Face it Friday "Sew Super Cute" Challenge #11

Challenge included using "stitching", (faux or otherwise), and Peachy Keen Stamps.
My card is for my uncle who is just so dear to me. He just received good news about some tests results. He lives a bit far away, so I don't get to see him much, but I sure do love him. I thought this little toaster would make him smile!
I used Peachy Keen Princess Face assortment (largest size), twine, Pink By Design Country Life Stamp set, the toaster if From My Kitchen Cart, white gel pen for my "stitching"

Throwback Thursday Challenge

Sara made the card for this challenge. She had a great time with the theme and Emma's Stamp set. (check out an earlier post for more St. Patrick's Day fun with Emma's Stamps)

St. Patrick's Day Service Project

Sara, Alex (friend from youth), and I got together on Saturday nite for pizza, ice-cream and to make cards to hand out at a retirement home next week for St. Patty's Day! We had so much fun, they did an awesome job too. It's always fun to craft, but knowing it's for someone else to enjoy makes it that much more rewarding!
I cut several shamrocks from Celebrate with Flourish Cartridge, added some various embellishments and had a blast with Emma's Stamp set. After our card making we played twister, ate popcorn and made up silly dances. I took the finished cards with us on Wednesday to youth group for some of the other girls to sign them. We plan to do this again for Easter.

Flaunt It Fridays Challenge #14

Hope everyone's week is amazing. Just a quick card using the Twinkle Toes Cartridge for the FIF #14 Challenge. I haven't had a chance to use this cart before this project, and although it is mostly dance related images, I thought this flower would be perfect for a birthday card I needed to make for a friend.

It's the Weekend! and a couple of engagement cards

Happy Saturday! Yesterday was cleaning day around here (Friday usually is so the house will be in order to relax more over the weekend) I was able to get a jump on a couple of spring cleaning projects. The weather has been somewhat mild the last few days (of course I am in California, and a bit spoiled). Saturday is here, more spring cleaning projects accomplished and time to post a couple of engagement cards I was able to make over the last couple of days. One is for my niece and the other for a dear friend's son.
For the cards I used Tie the Knot and Sweethearts Carts, DCWV Formal Affair Stack, prima, fibers and glue dots, half pearl embellishments,Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, Pink Stamper Friends and Family set, another stamp set (Clear Stamp) I have with mostly wine lover sentiments, a Fiskar Circle punch and an EK Success Heart punch.

Flaunt it Fridays #13

Using the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cartridge, I created this box (cut at 6 1/2")for the FIF #13 Challenge. I used some SEI Paper, Martha Stewart Punch, Prima, stickles, glue dots and the red adhesive tape.
I am surprised how easy this came together and immediately thought of a Mother's Day gift. I would like to have my group of girls over from youth, decorate a teapot shaped cookie and put it in the giftbox for a gift for their mom.

My Pink Stamper Challenge!

Wow! I can't believe I am able to complete another project. I have been challenging myself to be more creative and I think the challenges help to motivate me. When I vist other blogs and see what amazing creations are out there I am inspired even more. I really do love crafting and creating.
My Pink Stamper has a challenge to create something with a bird in it. I decided to use my Cindy Loo Cartridge. The frame was cut at 4 1/2", the owl at 2 1/2" and I put them thru the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. Paper from DCWV Doodlin Around stack, EK Success label punch, Pink Stamper Puny-Licious stamp set, glue dots, button and some twine.

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge #46

For this sketch challenge I decided to do a layout of our 3 year old Seth and our 3 year old grandson Cory. I still have to add the journaling but it was fun to work with my two new carts!
Paper was from DCWV, twine in various colors, eyelets, Glossy Accents for the tires on the dumptrucks, stickles, glue dots and gel pen.
