Sweet little Birthday Invite for Exploring Cricut and More!

Good morning and happy Friday! Yeah the weekend is here! Today is the last day of official school for us. I always school thru the summer but with a much lighter load, so that being said I sure hope to find more time for crafting! Our family has lots of celebrations happening this summer and fall, so I certainly won't be at a loss for inspiration.

I am posting today as a DT member for Exploring Cricut and More! It is a wonderful blog dedicated to all things die-cut! You will find daily projects, challenges, tips and ideas galore!

One of my girlfriend's always hosts their grandchild's first birthday party. So this little invitation is for grand baby #5! She insists on some sort of princess theme for the girls and her idea this year is "princess at the carnival". I looked thru my cartridges decided the best choices would be the  Paper Doll Dress Ups and Carousel Lite Cartridges

The little fairy is cut at 3.0" including the layers
Balloons cut at 2.5" with the layer
Ticket cut at 1.0" including layer

I heat embossed the balloons using a My Creative Time stamp set "Build a Banner" and white embossing powder
Swiss Dots and Swirls Cuttlebug folders
Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink
Pink twine for the balloons
White gel pen for the stitching
Peachy Keen Stamps Princess Assortment
Foam tape and Tombow Mono Liquid glue

"Here Comes Summer" Challenge for Exploring Cricut and More!

Good morning everyone! Today is the beginning of a new challenge at Exploring Cricut and More!
With the warm weather upon us and the days getting longer it is time to welcome summer!
It sure feels like summer here in northern California.

Challenge:  “Here Comes Summer” make card, layout, or papercraft celebrating summer and must include the colors red and blue!!
I was inspired to do some "decorating" in the backyard. We are really enjoying our backyard including the pool and I have some baskets that hold misc items and thought it would be fun to "dress" them up a bit.

I started with some little chalkboards I picked up at Michaels a while back and some vinyl scraps. (It's definitely time to replenish my vinyl supplies) The baskets are also from Michaels

I pulled out my summery cartridges and tried to find some images that would work.

Towels cut from the Savory Lite cartridge at 2.25" I added the shell layer from the Life's a Beach cartridge cut at .75"
"Friends" cut from the Life's a Beach cartridge at 2.0"
Life Preserver cut from the Splish Splash Lite Cartridge cut at 3.0"
The words are written with chalk for now, but I am thinking some vinyl letters would be a good idea.

Oodles of Monogrammed Note Cards for Exploring Cricut and More!

Hello and happy Friday. So looking forward to what I hope is going to be a relaxing weekend! Perhaps a little crafting and trying to catch up on Project Life is in order as well.
Today is my day to post as a DT member at Exploring Cricut and More! and I am sharing with you the MANY sets of monogrammed note cards I made for some very special family and friends for Mother's Day.

The letters were cut at 2.25 including the shadow feature.
Sweet Treats Cartridge has a tag feature along with a layer and I cut these at 3.0"

Cardstock, patterned paper, buttons, ribbon and twine are from Papertrey Ink
Envelopes were made using the Stitched Envelope Die from My Creative Timeand the sentiment is from the Mom You Rock Set also from My Creative Time
I also used the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder to emboss the letters.

These little sets were such fun to make. Thank you so much for stopping today. Please join us on Monday at Exploring Cricut and More for a new challenge!

Mother's Day Challenge at Exploring Cricut and More!

Good morning and happy Monday! Hoping your weekend was terrific. We had a wonderful time with family and friends.

Today at Exploring Cricut and More! is the beginning of a new Challenge and the theme is Mother's Day!

Mother’s Day Challenge:  Make card, layout, or paper craft for Mother’s Day in any colors, but must add at least 1 ribbon.

I pulled out my Mother's Day 2010 Seasonal Cricut Cartridge for this quick project.
Fresh flowers are always part of my gift for my sweet mom, so I thought it would be fun to make a little sign to embellish the vase.

"Mom" cut at 2.25"
sign cut at 4.0"
flower cut at 1.25" cut three times.

I added a flower brad to the flower and ribbon to tie it on the vase.
