More Gardening with vinyl! And a Linky Party at Craft Junkie Too!

Ok, so I had to decorate 3 pots for my little cart my sister gave me years ago. I just love putting little pots filled with simple flowers on it.
Tracy over at Craft Junkie Too has a Linky Party each Friday and we're all invited to post a project.
I used Walk in My Garden Cartridge and more scraps of vinyl. (I purchased the "value pak" of vinyl at "Oh My Crafts" for a reasonable price over a year ago and still have some left.) I planned the cuts around the colors I had available and the cuts are super simple to do. The clay pots are from Walmart, less than $2 each and a couple of "six pak" flowers from the garden section. I plan to add some details with puff paint sometime soon. So whole project for around $7!
Now, just have to remember to water them!

Wacky Wednesday #36

This week is a color challenge. I have been gardening and planting so I thought I would use up some vinyl scraps and decorate some otherwise ordinary pots.
I used Walk in My Garden Cartridge. I love this cartridge, easy cuts, no layers, just the shift button. Great for vinyl.

Spring is here!

Just wanted to post a few pictures of what's going on around here! Spring has arrived with a bright table and gardening of course! My daughter surprised me with a just because present of new placemats and napkins, she also brought me the flowers for Easter. (so sweet)
My husband has been busy with the garden, I love helping a bit, but he really is the one who keeps it going. So good to plant and dig and be outdoors. The boys loved to help too.

Flaunt it Fridays! #19

Using the Simply Charmed Cartridge, the challenge was to use the Fishy image. I had these fishing picutres of Thomas, Sara and Seth (in the backpack)taken a couple of years ago while camping near Yosemite.
Super simple as I didn't have all of my scrapping goodies.
Love this little weekly challenge. So great of Flaunt it Fridays blog to invite us to play along.

Throwback Thursday Challenge!

This week at My Creative Time with Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge, we are asked to use any Cricut Lite Cartridge and make a 2 page layout.
I used the Carousel Lite Cartridge, the paper is Dots and Stripes from DCWV, stickles, Cuttlebug, twine, buttons and Emma's Mom You Rock Stamp Set. (she's is coming out with some new sets tomorrow, so fun!)
Found these pictures of the boys playing on the train at Fairytale Town in Sacramento, thought the little train image would be fun. I used the font from that Cart as well.

Wacky Wednesday #34

Happy Tuesday! Work week busy, "springbreak" sorta for kids, Sara is able to do some fun things with friends and swim started too, planning a little getaway towards the end of the week too!
The challenge was to make a gift box theme. This is going to be for my sister, as her birthday is coming up.I have wanted to try the cake box from Tie the Knot Cartridge (I loved the scallop edges). The paper is the Botanical stack from DCWV, red satin ribbon, half pearls, glimmer mist, prima flowers, tags cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes & More Cartridge. I glimmer misted the tags and crumpled them, inked everything added some fibers and the sentiments were from some embellishments from my scrapbooking goodies.

Let's Face it Friday

Yeah, another challenge from Peachy Keen Stamps! These stamps really are amazing, just love the possibilities. This challenge has to include Peachy Keen Stamps with a Mother's Day Theme.
I decided to use my From My Kitchen Cartridge to create something a little retro. Kept the card pretty simple using the images with shadows, a scallop punch, Martha Stewart Border punch, EK Success Label punch, and the sentiment is from Emma's Mom You Rock Stamp Set.

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge #49

Over at Peachy Keen Stamps is their Sketch Challenge #49. It took me awhile to make this one come together, a challenge for sure!
The paper is mostly scraps, I tried to emboss the bunnies with white embossing powder, a couple of prima flowers, flower brads, ribbon and buttons. The sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe. I look forward to sending it to my Aunt and Uncle who live out of town.

CCCC #13

Yeah! I finally get to make some stuff! What a long week.
This week over at Two Scraptastic Gals Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge we were asked to use the Storybook (or Wrap it Up) Cartridges. I really do love the frilly images this one creates. Thought I would do a Mother's Day card using the DCWV The Four Seasons Stack (really beautiful, a little vintage). Solid colors from Recollections, Scattered Straw Distressed ink, Glimmer Mist, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, and the darling sentiment is from My Creative Time's "Mom You Rock" stamp set (really love using this one). The frame was cut at 3 1/2" and the letters including the shadow at 1 3/4". The cuts were super easy.

The challenge was to use a bird from 3 Birds on Parade cartridge, but since I don't have that one, I used my newly acquired Live Simply Lite Cartridge. This has some really lovely images.
I used a frame and the bird. The paper is from DCWV Cotton Bloom stack, cuttlebug, some distressed ink and a little sentiment sticker.

Peachy Keen Sketch Callenge #48

I just love playing along with the Peachy Keen Challenges. They gave a sketch to follow and I decided to continue making cards for my group of girls and of course I have one who loves red and white. I couldn't pass up this little strawberry and had to give her a cute little Peachy Keen face.
The berry is cut from Hello Kitty and used the Peachy Keen Everyday Character faces. (I used the hide feature in my Gypsy) I used a couple of different Cuttlebug Folders, Pink Stamper's Fruit and Veggie Puns stamp set, some ribbon, twine and punches.

Shabby Chic Challenge

Fab 'n' Funky is having a Shabby Chic Challenge #66.
I needed to create some "purse kits" for a girlfriend of mine who is teaching a group of little girls. They are creating these purses for their favorite doll. How fun is that.
I used K & Co. paper, Distressed inks, Purses cut from Tags Bags Boxes and More, Scallops cut from Mini Monograms, Flower petals cut from Forever Young. Some brads, ribbon, tulle and a button. I decided to put the items in a bag and decorate it just for fun.
