"Cricut Choice" Challenge at Exploring Cricut

Good morning everyone. Are you ready for a new challenge? Today at Exploring Cricut the challenge is to make a card, layout or project using your choice Cricut cartridge and images. MUST include two Cricut cuts.
Do you have an image you have been wanting to try? Maybe even a new cartridge that hasn't been used? Perhaps like me you have some favorites and love using them over and over.

I chose Cherry Limeade Cricut Lite Cartridge. Even though this is a font cartridge, the darling images on it are so fun, summery and cheery.

I needed a gift bag and card to for my sister-in-laws birthday, so since she has a summer birthday I thought these images and colors would be perfect.

The details:
sign image cut at 2.5"
glass w/straw image cut at 5.0"
Lime w/flower image cut at 2.5"

Card base cut @ 4.5x4.5"
white gift bag from my stash, twine and a little bling and a couple of cherry brads
paper from my scraps

So have  you thought about which cartridge and image you will use for the challenge at Exploring Cricut. Be sure to head on over for some great ideas.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to stop by today.

Summer Wedding Decor for Exploring Cricut

Good morning and happy Friday to all of you! What are your weekend plans? If it involves crafting I will be happy...

For today's post over at Exploring Cricut I am sharing with you all some wedding decor. These projects were actually created for the rehearsal dinner which was an outdoor get together.

I used the Tie the Knot and Sweethearts Cartridges to create these cute little goodies and decor.

First up:
Paper straws. It's amazing what you can do with some ovals, scallop ovals, computer and printer. I created the "Eat, Drink & Be Married" sentiment in Word and printed them out and used an oval Nestabilities to cut them out. Punched a couple of holes and added them to the paper straws.

Of course I couldn't leave the buckets plain... so that's where the Sweethearts  Cartridge come in...
There is a tag feature with some darling "couple" silhouettes, so I chose several and cut them out at 4.0"

Next the goodies... I used little Kraft bags, punches and the sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink's Favor it Wedding Stamp Set. Each bag has a couple of Andes mints inside so the little "mint to be" was too cute to resist. I finished each bag with a twine bow.

Again, the little buckets were decorated with the silhouettes.

I also decorated a couple of more tins using the Tie the Knot Cartridge. It also has a tag feature that cut beautifully.
One tin held the "wedlibs" (a wedding form of Madlibs) and the other some napkins.

Hoping you will take a minute to pop on over to Exploring Cricut for some daily crafty projects all relating to our Cricut Machines.

Thank you so much for stopping by...

.I know it's Back-to-School season but I am just not ready to give up summer!
Remember when we were kids? And school didn't start until after Labor Day??
So in honor of summer...I am sharing my jars of homemade peach jam I was able to can.
Of course I couldn't leave those little jars plain. I had to dress them up a bit using my Cricut Machine and Preserves Cartridge.

peach image including layers @ 2"
word art: peach jam including layer @1"
tag including layer @ 2"
All of the images cut just beautifully. I would suggest slowing your speed way down for the word art.

I used my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder, some gems and a bit of inking with Distress Inks.

I am so excited about being a guest designer today and  Hope you will Craft It Up & Link It Up!!!

"Disney Dreaming" Challenge at Exploring Cricut

Hello my fellow crafters! It is time for another challenge at Exploring Cricut.
This week the challenge is to make a card, layout or project using a Disney Character of your choice.

Perhaps you have a Disney Cartridge that you haven't pulled out in awhile and this is the perfect opportunity to make something fun!

I used the Mickey and Friends and Alphalicious cartridges to make these little Autograph books. It is my plan for Seth and Cory to use these on our Disney trip in the future. My Your Story Photo made putting them together a snap and I used two of the blue 4x6" binders it came with.

I picked  Mickey image #1 and #3 and cut them at 4.0" including all of the layers. I would have like them to be a bit bigger, but since the books are 4x6 I had to keep the images at 4.0" My advice would be to turn the speed WAY down and adjust the pressure and you will have no problems cutting  these sweet characters.

I used my Gypsy to weld the letters together using the Alphalicious font and printed them out in white cardstock. I'm not good at welding things together, as you can see my "a" didn't weld... I should practice more!

I ran one of the Mickey's through my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and each were put on the books with pop dots. Each book as 20 4x6 pages, so that's alot of autographs!

Be sure and get out those Disney Cartridges and make something fun! Stop by Exploring Cricut for all of the challenge details and wonderful Design Team inspiration.

Thank you so much for stopping by today...

Quick Vinyl Project for Exploring Cricut

Hello and Happy Friday. Another weekend upon us. Loving summer for sure!

Today is my turn to post over at Exploring Cricut. Have I mentioned that it is a blog dedicated to all things Cricut! We would love for you to stop by daily for some crafty inspiration.

This was a quick and fun little summer project using some vinyl, Old West Cartridge and Life's a Beach Cartridge.

I started with some sand buckets from the $1 store. I cut each initial with the Old West Cartridge at 3.0"
No layers for this one.

Next came the images from Life's a Beach Cartridge. I used the Border feature and cut each image at 2.0". You can see that some were shorter than others.
These images cut quite nicely and adhered to the buckets quickly and easily. My kind of project!

I filled them with a few goodies and the kids loved them!

Hope this may have inspired you to make a crafty summer project too.
Have a great weekend everyone and thank you so much for taking the time to stop by!

"Sew Much Fun" Challenge at Cardz TV

Good morning my crafty friends.
Today's post is a card I am entering in Cardz TV Linky Party "Sew Much Fun"
This challenge is to include real or faux stitching in your card, layout our craft project.

I started with the Nifty Fifties Cricut Cartridge with the sewing machine image cut at 4.0"
I used all of the layers and my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. I used some foam tape to add some dimension.
The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Home Sewn Stamp Set
For my stitching, I used my sewing machine and the zig-zag stitch around the patterned paper and then a straight stitch around the white card base.

Thank you for stopping by today. Be sure to check out the projects over at Cardz TV. Mary has some wonderful stamp sets and the design team projects are gorgeous!

Peachy Keen Challenge 13-31:: Anything Goes! and Project Life

Good morning everyone. Today's post is my challenge entry over at Peachy Keen stamps.
This week's challenge is Anything Goes and you must use a Peachy Stamp on your project.

I was working on Project Life and that week we went to Fort Bragg, CA on a camping trip. My Peachy Stamp of the Month set worked so perfectly with the pictures.

I had a great time stamping those cute little Peachy Faces and Images, adding a little white gel pen here and there, and some inking. I added a little twine to create a banner, and a few other embellishments to create my fun pages.
So if you are ever asking yourself, can I use my Peachy Stamps for Project Life, well the answer is yes!

Have a wonderful day.
