Hello Kitty Birthday Blog Hop!

Aloha and welcome to our Hello Kitty Birthday Blog Hop! It's Cely's birthday at Hawaii Paper Party and we're all celebrating by making Hello Kitty or birthday themed projects! You should have arrived from Cely at Hawaii Paper Party blog, but if you've stumbled on this blog hop, please go back to Cely's blog at Hawaii Paper Party so you don't miss out on all the fun!

Be sure to visit all of the blogs in the hop to be eligible for the Grand Prize! All you have to do is be a follower of all of the talented ladies in the hop, leave each of us a comment, and go back to Cely's blog to link up with InLinkz and Mr. Blue Frogger!

Here's my project for Cely. She loves pink, glitter, pirates, and Hello Kitty just to name a few of her favorite things.
I started with a white bucket from Joannes, used the Hello Kitty Cartridge to cut the images from pink vinyl. I used the silhouette cut for the images, I then added some gems with the IRock tool, and stickles of course. The happy birthday sign is also from that cartridge. I just blinged it up a bit!
I added a few goodies to the birthday bucket to send to our birthday girl!
Happy Birthday my blogging friend.

Of course we needed a birthday card too:

Used the silhouette image as well as the shadow and blackout. The sentiments are from PBD (a couple of different sets)

A Birthday Blog Hop wouldn't be complete without some blog candy. Just leave a comment, be sure to wish Cely a Happy Birthday too! Not necessary to be a follower, but would love it if you were. (make sure you leave an email address so I can contact the winner)
The paper and embellishments are from K&Co Happy Trails and some little brads to bling up your summer layouts. Enjoy!

SURPRISE! Another giveaway!
There was a surprise stamp set in my PBD order for my first blog hop ever!
Leave another comment for a chance to win! Thanks Sarah!

"Man Card"

We are heading to a surprise birthday party for a friend this afternoon and I had to come up with some sort of card. I decided to just put a few of the things we think of when we think of him! He's a firefighter by day, baseball coach for his son, golf coach for his daughter and loves his ski boat! I added a few "brewskys" to the back of the boat for a day at the lake!
The paper is from DCWV Guy Stack and the sentiments are from Pink by Design's Just for Men stamp set. So perfect!

Throwback Thursday Challenge

This week's challenge was to create a Christmas Themed Project with an old cartridge and incorporate some sort of fabric.
I used the card feature from Winter Woodlands, embossed the snowman in clear and the hat and scarf in green. Embossed some parts with the Cuttlebug too. I inked around the card with PTI Fresh Snow ink, added some buttons and twine and used a PTI die to cut the buttons in felt for the background. The sentiments are from two different stamps sets of Emmas. I just cut out some words that reminded me of the season!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #85 Holiday-Anything Goes

Quick Halloween card for the Cricut Cardz Challenge! We had to make a holiday card of our choice. I have wanted to try out my Martha Stewart Holiday Cake Cartridge and thought the pumpkins were pretty cute. The paper and ribbon, button and button twine are from Papertrey Ink, background sentiment from a stamp set I found at Joannes last year and of course some stickles and Cuttlebug.

Watermelon Linky Party at Craft Junkie Too!

Check out the super cute watermelons over at Tracy's Blog!
I made this layout with my new Papertrey Ink Fruit Fusion die and stamp set. I also used Papertrey Ink buttons and button twine and some other sentiments from Papertrey Ink. I cut the "watermelon" title from Preserves cartridge, and the "Summer" from Straight From the Nest cartridge, and the "fun" from Sweet Treats cartridge. Also, the watermelon print paper is from Papertrey Ink and I made a layered type booklet for journaling that can be untied to open. (can't tell in the photos)
These pictures were taken in July at one of our Sunday family dinners.

Bachorlette Party Invite

This one is for my niece getting married at the end of the month. Her big sister is throwing the party and because their favorite move is "Chicago", I was asked to design an invite with a scene from that movie in mind. Pretty unconventional I must say, but if you've seen the movie you'll get it.
This was quite an undertaking as I had some ideas in my head but getting them accompished is always a challenge.
Materials:
All paper is Papertrey Inc. (wonderful quality, heavyduty), except for the metallic silver for the revolver, ribbon Papertrey Ink, sentiment: Pink by Design "Partytime", Old West cricut cartridge, (revolver) Forever Young cartridge (heels) I used my Gypsy to hide some features to only cut one heel and saved a bunch of paper!, heart brad, Cuttlebug embossing folder, heart corner punch from Martha Stewart, sivler embossing powder, pink glitter. Inside sentiments and info I just printed from my computer.
