Wacky Wednesday Color Challenge #54
This week over at More Than Favors, Paula is hosting the Wacky Wednesday Challenge. This time it's a color challenge:green, purple, orange and black. I decided our guest bathroom needed a little Halloween decor so I dressed up the soap dispenser and a jar candle. I used the Simply Charmed cartridge for the cute little pumpkins and bats. Paper is from my scraps and I used a bit of stickles. The patterned background paper is from K & Co.

Cricut Cake Project
Our oldest daughter Stefanie turned 26 and as tradition goes here in the Lieb family, everyone gets a Sunday dinner devoted to their birthday when it comes around. So hard to believe it's been so many years since we brought that little baby home from the hospital.
We purchased our daughter Rachel the Cricut Cake for her 21st birthday last February so I thought I would give it a whirl.
I used the Sweet Treats Cartridge for the flowers and the happy birthday is from the Martha Stewart Elegant Cakes Cartridge.
Next time I will try to roll the fondant thinner, but all in all pretty easy. I just used Wilton fondant. I kept it simple, maybe next time I will get a bit more creative.

My first Imagine cards!
I recently received my Cricut Imagine for my birthday. It was a super surprise from my husband. I haven't had a chance to play with it too much, but I love how quick and easy it is to create a project. So many options and just white paper, wow!
I decided to use the Imagine More Cards cartridge for these two birthday cards. Not too fancy, but super easy and I just added some twine, ribbon and Glossy Accents, inked the edges and called it done. I used the layers feature and pop-dots to give them some dimension.Colored cardstock is from PTI.
Off to get ready for a fieldtrip with Sara at the Mondavi Arts Center. Happy Friday.

Cricut Cardz Challenge #92 Owls!
Over at Cardz TV Mary is hosting a Halloween challenge that includes making a card using the cartridge of our choice, but must include an owl.
I pulled out my Storybook cartridge again and found the owl and the branch. I ended up cutting the branch at 4" so it looked a little more like a tree.
I dressed up the branches with some PTI buttons, felt, ribbon and twine. I used my Cuttlebug, lots of pop-dots, and the sentiment is from a PTI set cutting it out using a circle punch.

Happy Fall Banner!
Fall is my all-time favorite time of year. It took me a little longer to get into the fall spirit this year, but now I am right on track!
I decided to make a banner to compliment some of my other fall decor.
I cut the banner from the Mother's Day 2010 cart, the letters are cut from the Pooh Font cart. I tried my hand at making rosettes and they didn't turn out too bad for my first try (I pulled out
my trusty glue gun for these)., The paper is from the DCWV Amber Autumn set from last year. The pumpkins are from the Pooh and Friends cart, apple from the Country Life cart and the leaves are from the Sesame Street Seasons cart. (I purchased a few carts this summer from the great deals at cricutmachine.com. They have super deals if you watch for them). I inked some edges, added some stickles and used my Cuttlebug, Zig two-way glue pen, ATG gun (a fairly new purchase and I am still getting the hang of it, everyone makes it look so easy!). If I had it to do over again, I would have made the banner and letters a bit smaller, but once I was that far...well you know, there was no going back.
Have a great day!

Throwback Thursday Challenge!
Hi everyone, thought I could ease back into crafting and posting a bit by participating in My Creative Time with Emma's challenge. This challenge was to use a font cartridge of our choice and choose any of the images found on that cartridge.
I decided on the Storybook cartridge for a simple card to send to my sister. Solid paper and ribbon from PTI, DCWV Botanical stack for the patterned paper, Cuttlebug, Memento Ink, EK Success punch, and some little gems. I did a little inking around the edges with the tea-dye duo ink from PTI. The sentiment is from Emma's "Turn that Frown Upside Down" set.
Thanks for stopping by.

In Remembrance of 9/11
I am sure all of us have spent the day reflecting on the events that changed our world 10 years ago today. I know I can recall where I was, what I was doing, my homeshcooling day with my children, meeting for prayer, talking with friends and loved ones and of course through it all wondering why and how did this happen...
I have to say thank you to all of those who risk their lives daily for my freedom, the freedom of my family, friends and loved ones. Thank you to our country, the amazing country where I am free but of course knowing the that the price of freedom isn't free.
To quote the Alan Jackson song "Where were you when the world stopped turning?"
I know Jesus and I talk God and I remember this from the when I was young..
Faith, hope and love are good things He gave us, but the greatest is love...
And of course for more patriotism..there's always Toby Keith...
"Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue"
You definitely won't be without words after hearing these wonderful lyrics! Thanks Toby!!
I spent the evening with my family, our usual family dinner... lots of laughter, catching up, and working through a few tough times. I can just say how thankful I am that Sunday's mean family dinner at the Liebs. All are welcome, and knowing that means the good, the bad and the ugly:)
I am so very thankful for our country, thankful for my friends and family who have served and are still serving.
God Bless America

Aloha and welcome to our Hello Kitty Birthday Blog Hop! It's Cely's birthday at Hawaii Paper Party and we're all celebrating by making Hello Kitty or birthday themed projects! You should have arrived from Cely at Hawaii Paper Party blog, but if you've stumbled on this blog hop, please go back to Cely's blog at Hawaii Paper Party so you don't miss out on all the fun!
Be sure to visit all of the blogs in the hop to be eligible for the Grand Prize! All you have to do is be a follower of all of the talented ladies in the hop, leave each of us a comment, and go back to Cely's blog to link up with InLinkz and Mr. Blue Frogger!
Here's my project for Cely. She loves pink, glitter, pirates, and Hello Kitty just to name a few of her favorite things.
I started with a white bucket from Joannes, used the Hello Kitty Cartridge to cut the images from pink vinyl. I used the silhouette cut for the images, I then added some gems with the IRock tool, and stickles of course. The happy birthday sign is also from that cartridge. I just blinged it up a bit!
I added a few goodies to the birthday bucket to send to our birthday girl!
Happy Birthday my blogging friend.
Of course we needed a birthday card too:
Used the silhouette image as well as the shadow and blackout. The sentiments are from PBD (a couple of different sets)
A Birthday Blog Hop wouldn't be complete without some blog candy. Just leave a comment, be sure to wish Cely a Happy Birthday too! Not necessary to be a follower, but would love it if you were. (make sure you leave an email address so I can contact the winner)
The paper and embellishments are from K&Co Happy Trails and some little brads to bling up your summer layouts. Enjoy!

"Man Card"
We are heading to a surprise birthday party for a friend this afternoon and I had to come up with some sort of card. I decided to just put a few of the things we think of when we think of him! He's a firefighter by day, baseball coach for his son, golf coach for his daughter and loves his ski boat! I added a few "brewskys" to the back of the boat for a day at the lake!
The paper is from DCWV Guy Stack and the sentiments are from Pink by Design's Just for Men stamp set. So perfect!

Throwback Thursday Challenge
This week's challenge was to create a Christmas Themed Project with an old cartridge and incorporate some sort of fabric.
I used the card feature from Winter Woodlands, embossed the snowman in clear and the hat and scarf in green. Embossed some parts with the Cuttlebug too. I inked around the card with PTI Fresh Snow ink, added some buttons and twine and used a PTI die to cut the buttons in felt for the background. The sentiments are from two different stamps sets of Emmas. I just cut out some words that reminded me of the season!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #85 Holiday-Anything Goes
Quick Halloween card for the Cricut Cardz Challenge! We had to make a holiday card of our choice. I have wanted to try out my Martha Stewart Holiday Cake Cartridge and thought the pumpkins were pretty cute. The paper and ribbon, button and button twine are from Papertrey Ink, background sentiment from a stamp set I found at Joannes last year and of course some stickles and Cuttlebug.
