Fun with the Nifty Fifties Cartridge

My Uncle whom I love so dearly, recently celebrated his 65th birthday. My aunt and cousins threw him a surprise party with about 60 people attending. I was in charge of the decorations and favors. What fun it was coming up with ideas that would celebrate my uncle's personality. He is just so true to the 50's era, with the oldies music and old cars and trucks..oops I mean "classics":) I decided the Nifty Fifties Cartridge would be just perfect. I made several different images. The "juke box" and "drive in" images had many layer and took a bit of time to assemble. Of course I had to cut many as these were used for the centerpieces. I cut them at 9" and 8" respectively, so the larger size helped a great deal as the cuts can be pretty intricate. For the favors, I used the triangle box cut from the TBBM cartridge. I decided on that one just because it was different and I hadn't ever used that one before. The water bottle tag is cut from PTI's Wine Bottle Tag Die and I used the Route 66 image only changing it up a bit to make it a 65. Additional supplies included: several Cuttlebug embossing folders, sentiments from various stamp sets, distress inks, dimensionals and punches.
