Hello, welcome to "Kindred Kreations"
This blog is about our life at home, and away from home... everyday happenings, and special occasions. We enjoy a variety of pastimes, but our main joy is making "Kindred Kreations". Rachel's 21st Birthday! (Cricut Cake)
Our daughter Rachel turned 21 this week! She is a cake decorator for a large chain supermarket while going to college and being a mom too! She loves to make custom creations whenever she has a chance for family and friends! She is sooo talented and has been a fan of crafting and cake decorating ever since her 4H days! Of course the Cricut Cake was the perfect way to celebrate this milestone birthday. There was a terrific bundle deal at cricutmachine.com so I couldn't pass it up.
Also included is a little card for the occasion.

Thursday Throwback Challenge!
This was a fun challenge! Just thinking of spring makes me so very inspired. The challenge was to use the Walk in My Garden Cartridge incorporating a flower. I used the border feature at 2 1/2" including the layers which uses the shift key. The patterned paper is from K & Company's Berry Sweet stack, the solid from Georgia Pacific. I used solid black ribbon from Joannes, pearl halves embellishments, glue dots, white gel pen, EK Success label punches and the sentiment is from Emma's I Believe in Leprechauns stamp set. (not just for St. Patty's Day!)

Let's Face it Friday Challenge #10
This week's challenge is to create a spring time gift using Peachy Keen Face stamps. I decided to make a little treat bag using Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cut Fit-to-page (5 1/2"). I used the shadow feature so there wouldn't be any extra holes. The butterfly is from Create a Critter cut at 2 1/2". I cut all layers and shadow. I used some nestabilities scallop ovals for the background on the bag. The faces are from the Princess Face asst. (using the smallest stamp). I added some stickles, primas, white gel pen and glue dots. Most of the paper was just some I had laying around!

February 2011 Baptism Card
One of my girls in my Wednesday nite group was baptized this past Sunday!
Here's a little card I put together. I wanted the card to be fun and not too serious (even though baptism is a big deal)
I used K & Company Berry Sweet stack,My Pink Stamper Family & Friends set (inside sentiment), Loopy Martha Stewart punch, prima flowers, ribbon from the $1 bin at Joannes, Inspired Heart Cricut Cartridge (Baptism shadow and word cut at 2 1/2", speed low, pressure med, blade depth 5. It took me a couple of trys to get this intricate cut, but I am so glad I kept trying!)
February, 2011 Better Late Than Never Valentine Post
Hi all! Yes, it's about time we post something about what's been going on around here. I have been great about visiting everyone else's blogs, but neglecting my own! It goes without saying we have still been creating, making memories and enjoying life, just not too good at posting the details.
Valentine Cookies:
We made lots of treats and Valentine's to give away, but the only creations that got any photo attention were Sara's heart shaped Spritz cookies. She made a couple hundred and shared them with Grandmas and Grandpas, friends, neighbors and youth group! Seth helped a little.
