More Than Favors is hosting the weekly Wacky Wednesday Challenge and this week our project was to create a tag.
I love to create tags! This one started with TBBM Cartridge scallop tag cut at two different sizes including shadows. I decided that this would be a birthday tag for a girlfriend so I made it a trio of tags with some of her favorite things and things that remind me of her.
The yummy paper if from Graphic 45, I also cut some images from that paper, used my Cropodile for the eylet that I didn't set too firmly so that the tags fan out. The sentiments are from PBD "Country Living" set and "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" set (my personal favorite). I had to keep it pretty flat so that it would close up into one tag, so the extras are a bit skimpy. Lots of distressed ink, half pearls, prima, Glimmer Mist, Ek Success Punch, K & Co. Key, "letter K", and some fibers.

Sentimental Sunday's Challenge #61
I haven't entered a challenge over at Sentimental Sundays yet, but they look great! This week we had to create a project using our Country's colors of our flag.
I did an altered frame for my Stepfather. He is a U.S. Navy Veteran and I am so proud of his service to our Country. This is also a belated Father's Day gift as he and my mom were vacationing in the Bahamas that week.
I used the Stand and Salute Cartridge for the stars, Navy hat and word art. The two sentiments are from PBD "Red, White, and Blue" stamp set. I have wanted this one for awhile, it came just in time for the 4th of July.
I Modged Podged the designs on the frame and used my IRock Tool to give it a little something extra.

Patriotic Card for the Cricut Cardz Challenge
This week at Cricut Cardz Challenge we had to create a card with our Country's flag. I used the Graphically Speaking Cartridge for both cuts. I have to say the older carts are great for simple cuts that really make a statement. I inked the edges with distressed ink in Weathered Wood and Fire Brick. The sentiment is from PBD "Red,White and Blue" stamp set. I used EK Success punch, glossy accents, divine twine and a button from PTI. The cardstock is from Recollections.
Bicycle Card
At a recent trip to my LSS, I purchased a little 6x6 pad of Jillibean Soup paper, just for the bicycle print! It just so happens that I was waiting for my new Pink by Design order to arrive which included the "Bike" set. There are lots of stamps to create your own bicycle and some terrific sentiments too.
I'm still practicing on lining up images to build designs. I popped up the basket and seat image for a little something extra.
Cardstock and ribbon from PTI, patterned paper Jillibean Soup, Memento Ink, Distressed ink, Corner Chomper, Glossy Accents, IRock Tool, tiny half pearls and paper crimper.

Throwback Thursday Challenge
Check out My Creative Time with Emma's "no Cricuts allowed" challenge for Throwback Thursday! She did provide a sketch, which I think I may have followed a bit too loosely. I just got carried away with my coffee card:)
Cardstock and ribbon from PTI, distressed ink, stickles, a little clothespin, versamark ink, clear embossing powder, coffee cup and beans from a Fiskars stamp set, and the sentiment and little coffee cup is from Emma's My Favorite Sayings Stamp set. I tried to create my own coffee background by randomly inking and embossing the little coffee beans and Emma's coffee cups.

T.G.I.F. Linky Party!
Pirate Seth and Pirate Cory!
For this layout of my two adorable pirates I started with the Paper Doll Dress Ups Cartridge to create a pirate that looks a little like each of them. These were so fun to make, a bit time consuming though! The ship, treasure chest and map are also from that cartridge. The "Set Sail" is from the Wall Decor and More Cartridge which I found for $14.95! Lots of great images on that one. I used my Cuttlebug and lots of distressed ink. The "treasure coins" are crystals added with the IRock Tool.
Head over to Craft Junkie Too's blog to see the other T.G.I.F. creations!

Surfer Themed Father's Day Card
I put this card together for my husband using the Cricut Lite Dude Cartridge for the car, Life's a Beach cart for the waves and palm tree. He is from San Diego, CA and is a beach bum at heart.
Cardstock is from Papertrey Ink and patterned paper is from DCWV Guys stack, some distressed ink and both sentiments are from Pink By Design Just for Men set. I couldn't resist the Directions Optional, that is so him! I tried to "build" the card by layering the different objects. Since I stink at taking the photos, it's hard to see the effect.
I entered this in a couple of Father's Day Challenges. One at Cricut Cardz Challenge and One at Cardz TV with Mary

Quick little thank you card
I used my new Papertrey Ink Fruit Fusion Stamp set, Melon Berry and Spring Moss paper, Fruitti Tutti paper collection from Papertrey Ink and some Melon berry ribbon. I used a cirlce punch and distressed ink in Fired Brick and Peeled paint.
Girl's Nite Out Favor
Just a quick little project...My neighbor invited me to a little girls nite out last Friday, and of course I wanted to make a little something. The challenge was I had an hour and I had to use whatever I had at home already! Well of course I have way too much stuff!
I made little candy pops with a smiley face mold. Wrapped them in some Papertrey Ink ribbon, used an EK Success label punch and a couple of sentiments from Pink by Design.

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge #53
This challenge required following the sketch provided and incorporating some type of sponging technique. I recently received this set from Peachy Keen stamps as a gift for winning a Let's Face it Friday challenge awhile back and have been wanting to try them out.
Paper is from Papertrey Ink, some half pearls, distressed ink in Fired Brick applied with sponge, Peachy Keen Cottage Cuts Bugs set and the sentiment is from Emma's Turn That Frown Upside Down Set.

Hostess Gift
We have been invited to some friends/neighbors for dinner tonite and thought of a fun little hostess gift. A co-worker of my husband has a lemon tree and gave us a ton so we could make our homemade limoncello in exchange we share some with her:)My husband made this a few months back.
I made a couple of tags using the Cuttlebug embossing/cutting folders, distress ink, fruit brads, eyelets and the Cropodile, irock gems, ribbon, jute, and twine. The sentiment is from PBD "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" stamp set. The sentiment is just perfect for them as they spent a few years sailing on their boat and can totally relate to the Jimmy Buffet relaxed philosophy of life! I found a recipe for a limoncello margarita on-line and used my printer to print it on a tag.

Quick Graduation Card
I needed a card for one of my girlfriend's daughter who is graduating. I used the cap from Locker Talk and the sentiment is from something I picked up at our local scrapbooking store. I didn't have any graduation paper so I stamped a sentiment over and over to create my own. I used some twine for the tassel, an idea I got from Cely over at Hawaii Paper Party! (thanks Cely). I used a little IRock gem, some doodles, Corner Chomper and called it done!
