Challenge Time at Exploring Cricut!

Hello and happy Monday.
Today is the start of a new challenge at Exploring Cricut
The design team has created some wonderful projects sure to inspire you!
Are you ready?? This is a favorite of mine.
Challenge: "Bag, Box, or Tag " Create one of
these and include a ribbon don't forget to use your Cricut Cartridges!

My project was inspired by an upcoming trip to the Caribbean my boss and her hubby were taking. I made this bag with a little island inspiration inside as a bon voyage!

I used the Pack Your Bags Cartridge and cut the image at 6.0". I used the layers feature with the exception of the umbrella as I thought it would be fun to use a real paper umbrella instead. I did a bit of embossing and added some enamel dots to the flip flops and foam tape for dimension.

Thank you so much for visiting my little blog today... Are you ready to start creating your project??
What are you waiting for....get crafting..

Valentine Thank You for Exploring Cricut!

Good morning my crafty friends and happy Friday!
Do you have any weekend plans? I hope they involve some sort of crafting!
I am sharing a little Valentine thank you card for  my DT post at Exploring Cricut. Have you visited the Exploring Cricut blog lately? There have been some amazing projects to say the least!

A couple of my girlfriends brought some very special Valentine goodies for me and I was so touched! This little bear and sentiment says it all!

I started with some PTI Vintage Cream cardstock for the base and used some patterned papers from Authentique.

The little bear is from Create a Critter 2 cartridge and the image is cut at 2.75" including all of the layers.
I just love the glitter heart too.  I added some stitching with my sewing machine, gave it such a nice touch, and of course the baker's twine was fun too.
The sentiment is from a Cardz TV stamp set. Isn't it just perfect? The older I get, the more I love and appreciate the friendships I am so blessed to have.

Thank  you for stopping by my little blog today. Also, if you didn't check out the blog candy winner post earlier this week, be sure to do so, the winner still hasn't emailed me!

Valentine's Day Challenge and Blog Hop with Exploring Cricut!

Good morning and happy fabulous Monday! I can't think of a better way to start a Monday than with a fun blog hop! Get ready for some sweet Valentine projects sure to inspire you! Exploring Cricut
is having a
Challenge and Blog Hop Valentine's Day!   create a card, layout or paper craft for Valentine's Day and include at least one jewel. Don't forget to use your Favorite Cricut Cartridge!

Now for today's project!

I started with: Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 Cartridge.
I chose the Heart Gable Box on page 24.
I cut it out at the fit to page which is 5.75". Now you can use the sections cut 1 and 2 and make the box much bigger, which is a great option for party favors, etc....
I also used the tag feature cut at 2.5"
for the embellishments: distressed ink, jewels, My Creative Time Stamp set "You Had Me at Chocolate", Prima flowers, twine.
My paper is from the DCWV Four Seasons stack.

Here is the Blog Hop Schedule in case you lose your way!
